Colorado Wildfires Aerial Firefighting – Aircraft Spray Fire Retardant On Fires

The Department of Defense Provides aerial firefighting support for the Colorado Springs area. Members of the Wyoming Air National Guard from the 153rd Airlift Wing and airmen from the 302nd Airlift Wing at Peterson AFB, prepare specially equipped C-130 aircraft with the Modular Air Fire Fighting System (MAPPS), to spray fire retardant on the wildfires.
